How do I?

How do I look for a book in the library?

You can use the search box on the library webpage or find the Online catalog link on the Bennett Library webpage to search for a subject or title.

If you click on the Library Catalog of the Bennett Library Libguide, it will also link you to the catalog that lists all of our electronic and paper format books. You will see a call number: Letters followed by numbers. This is how they are listed on the shelves. We use Library of Congress numbering system. You may be used to Dewey Decimal system at your public library (numbers followed by letters). Library staff can assist you in finding the book on the shelf.

What if you don't have what I'm looking for?

We have an Interlibrary loan system where we can borrow items from other libraries. Please see the library staff for requests. Please note: It make take a week or two for us to receive it. We will contact you when it arrives.

Are you open on weekends?

We are currently closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Can I access your library databases from home?

Yes, when you go onto the library website or libguide, under the database link, it will prompt you for a user name and password. You will use your e-z login username and password. (this is the same one you use for Canvas).

How do I use the library's databases to find an article?

If you click on the Journal link on the Bennett Library webpage, or the A-Z databases on our Libguides, you will see we have Ebscohost, Proquest and SIRS.

The library staff is available to help you in the use of our Journal article databases. You can drop by the library, e-mail us or call us. Our contact information is posted on the Bennett Library webpage and the Bennett Library Libguide.

Can I download the Academic e-books to my device?

No.

Do you have wireless access in the library?

Yes . We also have wireless printing available. You will need to connect your device to it. Please see library staff for instructions or assistance.
